From a blogging perspective several factors contribute to a sites success. There’s the number of visits or page views, there’s also the number of comments, then there the number of friends that one is gained, also the earning that he gets from the blogs. But then there’s one factor that many might not know about; those who know it may not even consider it of importance. Ah, but for a few, it makes all the difference.

I’m talking about PageRank, a Google feature that measures the relevancy of ones site. I define PageRank as a calculative measure of a sites’ success and many other bloggers and web publishers consider it to be. A higher PageRank means that your blog is being read by many whereas a virtual can be a source of distaste. Let’s just say a higher PageRank can a source of arrogance from the geeks.

Google computes ones PageRank by adding all the inbound links to ones site weighing the importance of every site. If a site with a Google PageRank of 5 links to you, Google considers this more valuable than say a site that has a PageRank of 1. Overtime, as you increase your PageRank, Google will find your content relevant and you should rank higher in the search engines. This means more readers for you.

The importance of PageRank can also be considered in paid reviews. Paid reviews are services that pays bloggers to write articles in their sites. Two of the more famous paid reviews are Pay Per Post and Review Me, but there are more. As higher rankings mean more readers, advertisers pay much more money to blogs that are classified as relevant. To profit seekers, this could be as good as money. Say from 5 dollars per post to a person who has a pagerank of 0 to a 15 bucks per post to that with a page rank of 2. Those with a PageRank of 6 can earn as much as 100 bucks per post, even more.

The question therefore is, how do you increase your PageRank? While some would pay SEO companies tons of money to list them in directories and get the higher on the search engines, proven ways of improving pageranks is to increase one’s inbound links. There are several strategies that you can apply to make this possible – exchange links, participate in forums, submit articles etc. But to me the best strategy possible is still to make great content. This aside from the fact that it does really take time to increase a sites PageRank. As time passes, it’s an inevitable compliment to your presence in the web

Many Bloggers try hard to reach a high PageRank by a high PageRank there will be a lot of benefit to the site / blog, one of other benefit is that it brings some money to your website and can make your efforts valuable. But it is not easy to get a high PageRank, google implements logarithmic scale from one level of PageRank to the next level. Talking about PageRank, emphasizing to links structure than content, to improve PageRank we have to understand what is the PageRank and links among pages that can influence the PageRank.

Understanding The Google PageRank

PageRank is a method that used by google to measure the importance of page on the web. The PageRank is different with rank system to sort relevan web to query but PageRank combined with rank system and text-matching techniques used by google to retrieve pages that relevant to the user query.

PageRank considers the links among pages, if the web www.enginecarts.com has been linked from www.ponbiss.com, google will consider a link from ponbiss as a “vote” to enginecarts, vote from one page to another giving certain amount to another is a little less than its own PageRank value (its own value * 0.85). This value is shared equally between all the pages that it links to, number 0,85 is a damping factor is used in google system.

Let’s take a look at the PageRank formula, that calculates a PageRank of page

PR(A) = (1- d) + d(PR(t1)/C(t1) + …+PR(tn)/C(tn)
PR(A) is a PageRank of page
PR(t1) is a PageRank of page t1 that link to page A
C(t1) is the total of outbound links that had by (t1)

Imagine if enginecarts was linked by ponbiss that would have PR4 and 9 other outbound links, so based on the formula, the result of calculation is :

PR (enginecarts) =(1-0.85)+0.85*(4/10)
PR (enginecarts)=0.15+0.85*(0.4)
PR(enginecarts)=0.15+0.34
PR(enginecarts)=0.49

So enginecart will get some PR addition 0.49 after linked by a page with PR4 and having 9 outbound links Another example if enginecarts was linked by ponbiss that would have PR 8, that would have 15 outbound links, so the total is 16 outbound links. So addition that enginecart would get is :

PR (enginecarts) =(1-0.85)+0.85*(8/16)

PR (enginecarts)=0.15+0.85*(0.5)

PR(enginecarts)=0.15+0.425

PR(enginecarts)=0.575

We can get a conclusion as important consideration not only PageRank of ww.ponbiss.com but also amount of outbound links of www.ponbiss.com

Inbound Link

Inbound link is a hyperlink that points to a your site’s page from another site’s page. When visitors click on this particular link, he will be redirected to site’s page. In turn is beneficial to increase website traffic. The more inbound links your website has the more often the search engine robots will visit your website as well as more it will appear in search engine results.

In the google PageRank system an inbound link is considered as a vote from another page, a vote gives certain value that can increase linked PageRank. The value that shares another

page is depending on quality of inbound link, PageRank and amount of outbound links on that page. The more outbound links on a page will give the less its PageRank. In many cases having an inbound link from PR 6 page will give significant effect to our PR. But if in fact the page has 100 outbound links to other sites, PR increase will be almost zero.

Also If a page has only PR 2, but there is only an outbound link, then PR increase will be more compared page with 100 outbound links and PR 6.

Google doesn’t only count incoming-links that had by page. Google looks at more than voting the page only, but google also analyzes the page that get vote. Vote got by page of course considered important and can help another page becoming important.

Outbound Link

The reason of bloggers to put outbound links basically beside making reference about relevance of certain contents, braiding a friendship to bloggers and hoping to get some backlinks.

But It needs to be noticed is how to optimize the outbound links in order that having good effect and more beneficial

The following some Tips to optimize the quality outbound links in order to good effect and more beneficial :

Give a quality outbound link on the posting

A blogger gives an outbound link one other thing to help a popularity other sites or blogs. But remember this influences to your reputation if the blogs have bad contents.

Give an outbound link to a new blog

Most bloggers give the outbound links only to senior blogs, but it is not wrong if you give a link to beginner or your fans. So they likely will give backlink to your blog without asking to exchange links. This is a part of marketing strategy to start building an online business network.

Giving some love links to your friends.

There is no more good way to strengthen a friendship string to bloggers moreover friend that you have known long, by giving some outbound links is real act to recognize that he is your friend

Reply an inbound link to a blog

Giving backlink to a blog that links to your blog particularly if one network , by condition that link is really relevant with your content

The outbound link as adding information

This means in order that blog visitors getting more a reference and adding information from the one of your more specific article

Strengthen the posting by outbound link

Giving an outbound link to reputable web site, for example to wikipedia.org. if it is relevant this will give good effect to your posting and give more value on your article in search engine eyes.

Adding Some New Pages

Adding some new pages can influence PageRank. If we take a look at the site, It has some inbound links from other sites. Each page of the site has its own page rank. When a page is added to the site, and the page will be linked to from one or more other pages. The new page will get the PageRank from other pages, and other pages on the site will lose its own PageRank. While total PageRank will increase. The more new pages added the greater page rank loss among existing pages.

Distribution of PageRank loss from each page depends on structure of the links. The more uniform PageRank is distributed by the links within a site, the more even page rank loss among pages.

Adding a new page can increase the total of PageRank but it will reduce existing page’s Page Rank on the site. Better way is increasing some inbound links from other sites to balance effect of adding page. Another way is linking to the new pages such a way within the site that the important pages don’t suffer.

We found a hot Google PageRank tool that utilizes a unique algorithm to predict the future value of Google Page Rank on your website. Google PR ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PageRank ), is the Google patented algorithm named after one of their co-founders Larry Page. The Google PR algorithm has helped set the Google search engine apart from other search engines. The PageRank algorithm takes in multiple factors to grade the relevance of your website from a scale of 0-10. The PageRank tool is available on your browser by installing the Google Toolbar and choosing from “Toolbar Options” to have the “PageRank” display.

Knowing how to increase PageRank takes a lot of consistent work and effort and can be established by activities improving both onsite and offsite architecture. Key factors that contribute to the onsite relevance of your website and to improve PageRank include, but are not limited to, relevant meta-tags, optimized content, properly structured image references, proper file infrastructure, and relevant in-bound content links. There are additional factors that Google may use to determine PageRank but you will find that things change over time. Offsite factors include links inbound to your site (the relevance and PageRank of the source of these inbound links), publishing content throughout the internet that links back into the relevant content of your website, hitting the viral/social-sphere with your content and creating relevant inbound links, publishing your website content in additional media types such as audio and video, updating content to provide the search engines with fresh information, and additional factors which are ever changing as well. The scoring methods of the Google PageRank tool will continue to evolve as the internet and search marketplace grow. Check out the innovative Google PageRank predictor tool at http://www.seomastering.com/pagerank-prediction.php.

Search engine optimization (SEO) techniques will be the base to establishing a solid PageRank and to potentially improve PageRank. A comprehensive Search Engine Optimization strategy should include creating relevant meta-tags, fresh and unique content, image alt tags, file architecture and proper onsite conventions, as well as offsite conventions which include creating back-links, content syndication, and alerting the search engines you are relevant to a specific topic. Search Engine Optimization continues to evolve and is a very technical and complex science, so there are components which lie outside of the above breakdown. Using the Google PageRank predictive model tool we provided, you should be able to see that proactive SEO is occurring on your website property and as a result you should see increasing search engine rankings in the near future. Please bear in mind that this tool is simply a best guess at what your future Page Rank may be and should only be used as an estimate. This is not the end all answer as to whether or not your Search Engine Optimization techniques are effective.

Developed by Google Pagerank is a numeric value used for describing the importance of your page on the web. Google refers to this as a method of evaluating the quality, importance and usefulness of your website. The pagerank of a webpage holds a different meaning for different individuals, but it is a major sign of accomplishment for the webmaster.
How to determine the pagerank?

If you are able to increase pagerank faster than your competitors, this would simply mean that there is more traffic for your website and less for your competitor. Visitors to your website would not be bothered about the increase, however, your content will be considered to be credible especially by those visitors who understand the true meaning of increased pagerank.

The best way to determine pagerank is through backlinks. Backlink is a term used to indicate a situation when some other page gets linked to your page. You get voted for each page that gets linked to your website, because of this fact it is always better to have a couple of links to your site from high pagerank websites compared to having hundreds of links from low pagerank websites.

Google makes use of quite a few of the irrelevant factors which are used for determining the pagerank. It would be quite beneficial to consider all of these factors as they would help to increase pagerank, but surely quality back links are considered to a more effective option.
How to Improve pagerank?

There are different methods that can be used to increase and improve pagerank, the performance of these methods depends of the subject and popularity of your website. The methods listed below do not fit all website styles, so choose the method that best suits your needs.
Submit to the Web Directories: By far the best method of increasing pagerank is submitting to directories. For this to be effective you will need to submit to a large number of directories and not just one.
Link Exchanges: Link exchange is the most common method and easiest, it simply means exchanging links with a website of equal or better pagerank than your website. It is also important to make sure these websites are relevant to the subject of your own website.

Forum Signatures: It is good to be a member of several forums and answer questions often and be of help to other webmasters. It is always beneficial to include a link of your website if you are an active member of any message board or forum. If this forum has high PR, it would help in increasing your pagerank.

Buy Advertising: It is one of the most expensive methods that is being used by quite a few of the webmasters, which involves buying of the text link ads on websites with especially high PR. There are also sites that offer free advertising, if you have a limited budget this would be a good idea for you.

Publish web articles: Put your articles on article marketing sites, some of these are free, or allow other website owners to put your articles on their sites as long as they include a backlink to your site.

Stay on Google’s good side: Always remember to follow all the rules judiciously and not to cheat. As this will enable you to be in Google’s good books and as a result increase pagerank.

Make a quality website: If you have made a quality website, the visitors will surely enjoy visiting it and as a result, you will receive many back links without putting in any efforts. Hence, all of the above methods if implemented sincerely and judiciously can really contribute in increasing your pagerank.
